Apple Game

A fast-paced survival and reflex game developed in C for the WASM-4 fantasy console.

You control an apple and must escape from hungry snakes across 6 increasingly difficult phases. Use time portals strategically and collect power-ups to survive until the end!

Controls

• D-Pad (Arrows): Move the apple (Left, Right, Up, Down).
• X Button: Start game / Confirm / Restart.
• Z Button: Pause / Resume game.

Mechanics and Items

From Phase 3 onwards, you will face multiple snakes simultaneously. Some will chase you directly, while others will move unpredictably around the screen. To help you survive, the following items will appear randomly:

• S (Speed Potion): Temporarily doubles the apple's movement speed.
• Shield: Creates a protective barrier that absorbs the impact of one hit (granting you a brief moment of invincibility to escape right after it breaks).

Time Portals

Keep an eye on the sides of the screen! When red bars appear on the left and right edges, it means the time portals are open. Cross the horizontal edges to be teleported to the opposite side and pull off evasive maneuvers against the snakes.
